osjc: the order in brief
OSJC is a church-approved association of Orthodox and Catholic Christians, notably clergy, desiring to collaborate in a brotherly spirit and in obedience to ecclesiastical rules and boundaries. It is not an “ecumenical group” which aims to achieve a merger of the Catholic and Orthodox Churches but rather a clear structure which exists in harmony with the statement of the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) regarding important and urgent areas of cooperation and convergence. Its overall vision is to support the legacy and vision of St John Chrysostom, with regards to (1) liturgical reverence (2) care of the poor (3) support to families (4) acquiring a biblical and patristic mindset (5) engagement with and detachment from political affairs.
Membership is open to all men (and for certain programs and with condition, boys), laity or clergy, belonging to the Orthodox or Catholic Churches.
