Interfaith dialogue, notably (but not only) with Muslims is of vital importance to both Catholic and Orthodox Christians. This is true from France to Russia and Nigeria, where robust intellectual engagement is a desirable alternative to isolation, alienation, and growing misunderstandings.
The Order is grateful to its EUCLID affiliation, noting that EUCLID is the only academic institution to have been awarded the United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Prize in 2016 (presented by H.M. King Abdullah of Jordan, photo below).
In order to foster this dialogue, the Orders supports both local and online initiatives, including World Interfaith Harmony Week and Mayors and Cities for Interfaith Harmony.
